BILL FRY (63B) who himself says: "I was probably known as "Taff" as I am a Cardiff lad. I never graduated as such from Harrogate, but left into the Corps in `64. I went to Catterick and became an Electrician Driver via 8 Sigs and 24 Sigs. My first working posting was 225 Sig Sqn. Do you remember 63B going up to Blackpool (with the WVS lady) in the Summer of '63? I remember sitting up in the 'Gods' to see Cliff Richard and the Shadows there! Many years later became a Sgt instructor at Catterick. Served also in 3 Div HQ & Signal Regt as well as 21 Sigs. Following health problems in 2007 I take life a bit more casually now (only about 100 to 200 miles per week on my bike in Summer these days!). Although I never qualified as a Technician or Telegraph Operator in Harrogate, I still eventually managed to get up to 1st year HNC in Telecommunications and my Radio Ham license. Please excuse photo; on a good day I do look a bit better than this!"
