Sgt 'Josh' Leech (Royal Signals)

--- (ex A/T RSM when 63A graduated but originally a member of both Intake 61C and B Coy) died from an unexpected heart attack whilst at home on leave in Batley (West Yorkshire) in 1984.  His funeral (conducted with Full Military Honours), held near his parental home at Loughbrough, was attended (from memory now) by easily some 300 family and friends.  Many ex A/T, RSigs & serving Infantry colleagues were there also to say goodbye including Pete Donnelly, Pete Camp, Phil Crone and myself.  RIP mate and condolences forever to his wife, Angela, and their family.

The recording of 'Josh's passing has been duly noted by the Association of Harrogate Apprentices (AOHA) who are about to enter the details in its new Book of Remembrance. [February 2011]

(You will surely recognise the Infantry Bugle Call heard here [and indeed at the funeral itself] that is universally known as the Last Post.)
