NOTICE BOARD

(The Christmas Wish "Wherever You Are" [Military Wives Song] that you're now hearing, written by Paul Mealor, was performed by the Duke of York's Royal Military School Choir in concert on 8th December 2011.  Arranged by Major D W Cresswell (WG), directed by Mr S H Beasley and, of course, first popularised by Gareth Malone ... it's been unashamedly 'liberated' from You Tube & 'transposed' for my readers' enjoyment!  PLEASE buy the Military Wives video & support their cause!  My thanks to all concerned.)

To all ex Army Apprentices:

Good news!  The first print run of our book 'The Harrogate Army Apprentice' is now ready for distribution.  So, if you would like to submit your orders for any, it/they will be posted to you as soon as they arrive.  We have seen the first copy and it looks absolutely fantastic!

Each copy is about the size of a phone book (200 pages) with an attractive soft laminated cover; the price being £15 plus £2 to cover postage and packaging.

Most of the publication's content is written by several members of our 57A Intake - giving the reader a real "from out of the horse's mouth" insight into life as it was back then for young lads joining the Army via the

Army Apprentices School Harrogate.

Fred Carslake spent some ten years plus of his life contacting fellow members of his Intake and persuading them to write articles for this new compilation!

If you would like to purchase a copy, please send your cheque for £17 (total) direct to Fred Carslake --- at  --- 29, Coopers Drive, Yate, Bristol.  BS37 7XZ.  If you wish to purchase more than one copy, just double up on that amount for each copy required as they will be sent out individually packed. (Please PRINT your Name and Address.)

A copy of  'The Harrogate Army Apprentice'  will make a First Class Present to any or all of your friends and relatives, especially since they can then see what you got up to in your younger days!

Could you please cascade this information to all your Ex 'Brat' (Harrogate Apprentice) mates.

Thank you and our Best wishes,

Charles Train and Fred Carslake (ex 57A - AAS Harrogate)
