Congratulations to the Royal Army Physical Training Corps, (the old APTC) who were honoured with the prefix Royal on 13th November 2010!

--- and 'Dukies' of my era will, surely, fondly remember both QMSI 'Beastie' Beeson & CSMI 'Chesty' Lett who were great ambassadors of that Corps.  (I can still do a 'Forward Roll' on concrete or a metal drain grate [as taught us by 'Beastie'] .... much to the bafflement of my grandchildren as to why one would ever want to bother!!)

(The Christmas Wish "Wherever You Are" [Military Wives Song] that you're now hearing, written by Paul Mealor, was performed by the Duke of York's Royal Military School Choir in concert on 8th December 2011.  Arranged by Major D W Cresswell (WG), directed by Mr S H Beasley and, of course, first popularised by Gareth Malone ... it's been unashamedly 'liberated' from You Tube & 'transposed' for my readers' enjoyment!  PLEASE buy the Military Wives video & support their cause!  My thanks to all concerned.)
